Common Questions We are Often Asked…

Q. Who is QuickTrainer?
A. QuickTrainer is a privately held company located along the eastern shores of Wilmington, NC.

Q. Is QuickTrainer a franchise?
A. No! We are independently owned and operated.

Q. What services does QuickTrainer offer?
A. Everything we do revolves around QuickBooks. QuickTrainer offers QuickBooks Classes, QuickBooks One-on-One Training, QuickBooks Bookkeeping and QuickBooks Point of Sale.

Q. What is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor?
A. To become a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor means you have undergone extensive testing and have successfully passed this subject testing. To past the various certifications you must score an 85 or higher on the numerous quizzes and exams. To remain current with your certifications, you must take certifications annually.

Q. Does QuickTrainer have Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors on their team?
A. Absolutely! We hold certifications in the years 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Not only are we certified in QuickBooks financials, but we are also certified in QuickBooks Point-of-Sale and QuickBooks Enterprise Edition. Mr. Merritt, President & CEO of QTi also holds certifications in the years 2001, 2002 and 2003, when he was employed with an Atlanta CPA firm.

Q. Can you teach me at my place of business or do I need to come to your place of business?
A. The answer is “Yes!”. We can teach you at your place of business or we can meet elsewhere. We refer to this type of training as One-on-One Training. The questions to consider are:

1. Can you work at your place of business without a lot of interruptions?
2. Would you be better served going off-site?
3. Is it feasible to bring any necessary papers with you to an off-site location (sometimes, you may not need any papers; perhaps you just have a few questions. Other times, clients may need to bring prior year tax returns, bank statements, credit card statements, settlement statements…just to name a few)?

Q. Does QuickTrainer offer QuickBooks classes?

Q. Does QuickTrainer offer a class to teach QuickBooks Payroll?
A. Yes we do! This class is a separate class to our QuickBooks Class. We find it simply does not work in your best interest to try and learn QuickBooks fundamentals and payroll in the same day. QuickTrainer currently offers our payroll class once every other month. Click here to learn more.

Q. Where are your QuickBooks classes taught?
A. Our classes are taught at the New Hanover County Library, located in downtown Wilmington, NC at 201 Chestnut Street.

Q. Does QuickTrainer provide Bookkeeping Services?
A. You bet we do! We have numerous bookkeeping clients and we are in a growth mode, taking on additional clients. We conduct the majority of these services at our clients site, spending one day or less on a weekly basis. With technology, we are finding more and more clients who desire us to simply attach to a computer via the Internet from our office and conduct our work. In these arrangements, we typically have the client fax us the necessary documents (bank statements, bills, etc.) or we stop by our clients place of business once a week and pick up documents.

Q. Can QuickTrainer help me hire a bookkeeper?
A. Yes! We are more than happy to participate in interviews, or conduct the entire hiring process. We are well qualified and experienced with understanding the level of a candidates QuickBooks and accounting experience.

Q. Can QuickTrainer teach me one-on-one?

Q. Can QuickTrainer help me clean-up my QuickBooks?

Q. Can I call any of your clients to ask their opinion of QuickTrainer?
A. Sure! We have numerous clients who tell us to have prospective clients call them anytime for a reference. Call us and we can make this happen. Our goal is that ALL clients would be reference clients.

Q. Do you like dealing with business owners and their QuickBooks issues?
A. We love QuickBooks, bookkeeping, accounting and we love people. It’s an unusual combination, but we are an unusual business, and that’s a tremendous asset for you and your business.
